8/ Oklahoma
-Okay, I’m biased. I danced for Oklahoma (2007-2011), so I’ll always root for them. 🫶 But in all seriousness, this team has grown SO MUCH in the last decade.
-Improved technique, stronger choreography, and bigger presence on the nationals stage.
7/ LSU Tiger Girls
-LSU Hip Hop = LEGENDARY. Innovators in the style for 20+ years.
-Jazz? Always a personal favorite. Their musicality is always top-tier.
-LSU brings energy, precision, and drama every time.
The Tiger Girls are THAT team.
6/ Michigan
-They’ve been hungry in Jazz, and a team to watch if you want fresh choreography.
-Last year, they brought creative ideas + dynamic movement. Can they play spoiler?
5/ Ohio State
-Minnesota’s biggest rival in Jazz right now. Looking to secure their 3rd straight D1A Jazz title.
-Their 2024 Jazz routine (Travis Wall choreo to Sinatra’s “My Way”) went viral.
-BUT… Pom has escaped them since 2022.
This team = athleticism meets artistry.
4/ Minnesota
-23 titles in D1A Jazz & Pom = the winningest D1A program in the country.
-Dominating Pom since 2003, looking for their 4th straight Pom title.
-TURN INNOVATORS. Seriously, out-of-this-world.
But they haven’t won Jazz since 2023. Is this the year?
