That road trip was amazing. It’s one of the most precious memories of my life.

I now feel my elbows digging into my ribcage.

Oh cripes!

Sometimes a hotspot (or even a single flea bite) can go from being a localized issue to a systemic one. It’s called pyoderma, usually because of a weakened immune system. Two of my dogs got it. Sores, itchy, crusting, hair loss. Don’t know if this is it but hope he can be comfortable.

My first newf lived in a cone for a year cuz she kept cheeing the hotspots at the base of her tail. It took that long to heal geez I feel for ya.

Oh no not the dreaded hotspots! My newfs used to get those. The best thing that I ever found for them was green clay powder, it dried them right out. I’m glad he’s feeling a little bit better.

Awesome 👏 you should comment that on my son’s channel 😊. Actually he’s hoping for more views because his little dog Juni might need spinal surgery 😬 he just found out today. Dogs will break your heart.

This is a rough sketch of my next painting. The concept is fairly straightforward: a young man is pictured from the waist up and he has a big hole in his torso. We can see right through the hole to the other side. Inside the hole are some butterflies flying around. One of his arms is held up in a gesture. His face is contemplative and he is blowing out of breath, and along this breath is a butterfly. It is as if he is blowing out the butterfly from inside of him. Since this is just a sketch to determine the darks and lights, the drawing is very rough. But I will be rendering it in watercolour as a painting.
