On the app click on the three lines upper left. Then click feeds. These are the tabs you can add to follow a new feed. It takes some practice/googling.

Across the top you should see headers like following, discover, etc. click on those and they bring you to a unique feed (like tabs on a spreadsheet). You can add tabs for topics that interest you like news or edusky. Google how to add tab to Bluesky.

I used to have two totally different Tw accounts. One was for education/school related content and the other for the rest of my life. I like that #bluesky tabs help me separate the content. When I want to think school I’m all in but love being able to be opt my mind out as well. #edusky

I want to acknowledge pressures like post a grade a week, give “extra practice” to raise test scores, always be available to families, etc. I don’t think vacation HW is teachers trying to steal vacation joy. Admin can encourage hw free vacations by setting boundaries for the whole community.

Yes, for some reason this was not obvious to me my first few years of teaching either. I think there can be pressure on teachers to prove their classes are serious or “rigorous” and one manifestation of this is HW over breaks.

Please don't assign homework over a break. Model a rich intellectual life for your students but also model rest. Ignore the "yes but we have to ..." impulse #edusky

Not completely sure what to expect on my first post-election trip to the US. Taking a big deep breath for the locura of T'giving travel and what awaits on the other end.
