New this year: All property owners in Electoral Areas will be eligible for a rebate of up to 50% to a maximum of $1,000 for doing fire mitigation work within 30 metres of their home.

In 2025, we addressed 16 illegal dump sites and supported 6 community clean-up events, removing over 55 tonnes of waste from the TNRD backcountry.

The TNRD Board has approved several changes to solid waste disposal fees beginning on April 1.
- Bagged garbage disposal will increase to $2 per bag
- Concrete disposal will increase to $50 per tonne
- All other disposal fees will increase by 5%

The Spring 2026 intake is now open for the TNRD Regional Grant-in-Aid program! Non-profits, societies, and charities can apply for funding for events or projects that have a broad benefit within the Thompson-Nicola region.

Commissioning of the water treatment plant is expected to begin in March, and treated water supply for customers is expected to begin later in the spring.
