The commenters are probably just kids not yet seeing how cooked they are but even so this is frightening

Email reading “Dear _____, I'm going to be direct with you. On Friday you presented market analysis that our partners in Singapore have been trying to articulate for three months. I don't say this lightly, our Singapore team has six analysts. Two board members asked me separately who prepared your slides. I told them I'd find out first. I need to know exactly where that analysis came from before Monday's call with the client. This is not optional.”
Comments on the email from the previous image: “my dumb ahh would have interpreted that email as a congratulations on such impressive work” “is it not ?? I thought it was congratulating her for being able to do something that the other analysts couldn't” “lol yeah same so this is not good?” “me too lol, l'd have said thanks”
More comments: “not me thinking they were congratulating you” “discredit Al and credit yourself tbh” “This happened to me this week 😊”
Just came across this post on my tt, where someone received a very concerning email asking for sources on a presentation they did.
The fact that even 5 commenters believe this was a positive email thinking they did a good job prompting an LLM to do their work for them is insane man 😥
I feel like this is either a rendering bug or a leftover of a graphics programmer working on the rendering pipeline
I kinda feel like I need to give myself some constraints that make sense for me and the kind of game we're making, and let the art direction flow from there, but even figuring this out is stressful to me right now as it's been so long since I've been working on this part of making games!
There are so many parts I want to get right and make appealing to the people who will enjoy the kind of game we're making, even though I know that what's more important is to make something that I personally find cool to look at (and fun to make)
I'm in the process of figuring out general character shapes and visual language for the game we're currently working on, and since I've been dealing with the technical and design side of making games for …years at this point… I'm having quite the hard time!
I just remembered else Heart.Break() recently and while I've never finished the game, it's still such an incredible world to spend some time in. It oozes with vibes and sense of place, and still feels genuinely fresh today IMO
I’ve now seen people call the Ontario California “all you had to do was pay us a livable wage” guy “Paper Mario” and I’m really into this extended universe
Yay!!! See you there!!
Some neat LGF culture-focused events are:
* @voidspacezine.bsky.social a bunch of stuff through the week voidspacezine.com/strange-play/
* @playpraxis.bsky.social workshops, games etc on Thurs luma.com/xbp718ti
* @thisisliveart.bsky.social a talk on Wed www.thisisliveart.co.uk/events/the-r...
Ohhh that’s an incredible rundown of things to check out, I really appreciate this, thank you for sharing!!
UK friends! I'm considering attending the London Games Fest next month! Do I know ppl who will be there?
I'm starting to plan some conference visits like Gamescom & Develop Brighton too, hoping to meet friends as well as meeting with potential publishers!
Let me know if you'll be at any of them!
I don't know if there's much of a B2B type presence at London Games Fest but if not, just getting to meet people I've mostly been talking to/liking posts of online would be really cool!

Despite everything, I wish you a happy Eid ❤️
Text: VIDEO GAME SESSIONS: Trans Defiance We're putting together a short & casual show of trans game makers playing and reading their games for a small audience, and we want you! Here's an example of llaura Dreamfeel doing something similar a ways back: https://youtu.be/4JR-I1CiKbs?t=3332 (and another at the start) Your game/piece doesn't need to be new or have explicit trans themes, and you do not need to have done this before. Just think about how to give your game shape/journey. You could - do it like the above example, reading and playing, - or you could have a few people with you act out the characters, - you could do a live walkthrough of a part of your game with/without commentary, - or you could play a scene accompanied by musicians, - or you could even live code music. (not a game, but interactive and digital!)
Early next month I'm running the first "Video Game Story Sessions", with the first themed to trans games.
Any trans game makers in Ireland/Dublin pls submit ya games and think about how you might play/structure it for an audience.
Feel free to share with anyone else.

I’ve now figured out parts of this system! Time to see if I can build a reusable framework with it…

It is a good day to launch a weird game.

I've just been made aware of the fact that Monument Valley 3, a game I have had the chance to contribute to, has been nominated for a BAFTA Award!!!!
I think it's very well deserved and if you haven't yet, you should spend some time with it! Congratulations to the whole team 🥹🥰
Right now is the exact right time for me to implement commonUI, as we’re rebuilding everything else anyway! But oof there’s so much going on and the setup changes dramatically from one UE version to another lol
I’ve been having a lot of trouble with #UnrealEngine CommonUI. As we’re preparing for preproduction I want to ensure we have a solid UI framework to work with (biggest issue with trying to get enhanced input in UI), but im having a hard time fully grasping all of the boilerplate setup required
We made a videogame about this!
Atuel is a surrealist documentary videogame about a river that crosses a desert in western Argentina, its history, and how the climate crisis threatens its future.
It's 30 minutes long and completely free!
