And bought 3 beautiful comic books.
This one is so beautiful!
Went to the Paris book festival, it's interesting to see which books are popular in France at the moment.
And of course found the taobao shop which sells them in half of the price I bought them...
Bought these in a patisserie in Paris but found out they are pet toys😂

Went to Opéra Bastille to see the opera Carmen. Very minimalist but radical production (lots of 18+ stuff), but the singing and orchestra were great
My second sword! (and size comparison to my first sword)
About rendering curly hair
My club starts steel sparring quite early for newbies by lending jackets, but it's nice to finally have my own.
Finally got my HEMA jacket and pants
Previously I tried with my metal ruler (20 cm), it's too short to consistently make sounds😅 I'll continue using the sword, luckily the space is big enough to not cut furnitures😅
Important to practice with and learn from historical replica swords
Suddenly realized how the pommel is supposed to help keep edge alignment!
The dent of the pommel fits the wrist perfectly, when cutting in this position, the edge is well aligned.
Also the real sword helps a lot: when cut edge-aligned, it makes a "whoosh" sound. Bad cutting gives no sound at all.
It's a beauty
It's a replica of the right-side one
Got my first sword!
Went to Opera Garnier to see Giselle.
Went to Musée de cluny to see the lady and unicorn again. Still beautiful as always.
Started learning historical european martial arts (HEMA). So fun😂 Being at Paris is great (multiple clubs)
Came back from Sail Amsterdam. So many people today...
Some other tallships at Sail Amsterdam
Interior with tiny but relatively comfortable cabins. When people walk around you can hear the steps😅
