Can't help wondering if Starmer's sudden decision to take away the last traces of NHS data privacy is also him folding to Trump's backers.

Does anyone else think that making money from charging NHS staff, patients+visitors to use car parks is wrong?

I’ve just found this info:

“NHS England Estates data reports that in 2018/19, £271.8 million was made from car park charges—£185.6 from patients/visitors and £86.2 million from staff.”

My 1998 secret squirrel pic of when the Easter Sunday sermon by Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Carey, was disrupted by protesters from Outrage storming the pulpit with Peter Tatchell denouncing homophobia & hypocrisy in the church.

I'm feeling cheered. The Kickstarter for my book Protest! is fully funded & I can stop worrying. I can also post a photo that isn't about protest or policing for a change!

A protest in front of Westminster Cathedral against the proposed visit by Pope Benedict XVI, led by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
The Pope had described homosexuality as an "intrinsic moral evil" and stated that there is "no right" to be gay.

This photo is from a Reclaim the Streets “March for Social Justice” with the sacked Liverpool Dockers just before the 1997 general election. There was a rally in Trafalgar Square & the sound systems soon turned it into an energetic and entirely peaceful dance which was enthusiastically attacked by hundreds of viciously aggressive Territorial Support Group (TSG) police officers dressed in full riot gear. Expecting this, some protesters had brought squeezy bottles of paint which they used to considerable effect, rendering visors and shields opaque.
