When Forbes gives you space to contribute an article you didn't write to spook up some C-suite business

"Steven Wolfe Pereira is the CEO and Founder of Alpha, the leading independent AI governance intelligence firm for board directors and C-suite executives."
"Huh, this is also written with the exact chintzy marketing cadence of major LLMs. Let's check that author bio.
Ah."
There is so much to say right now contrasting the effusive belief in post-war cooperation and a UN-fueled world order permeating Mothra vs. Godzilla through Monster Zero to how much we've failed that vision in 2026; it doesn't even call for direct commentaryโjust presentation
For reasons I can only fully articulate in a TED Talk-style presentation, the Statue of Liberty at the end of the Godzilla Minus Zero trailer delights me (bold statement for historical-lens setting play)
Also, please, I am begging you, continue into camp technicolor period '60s entries
Seriously, though, that Mokuba boss is wild. I have never seen a video game RPG tabletop its own mechanics before. It's basically adapting the third manga arc and just putting a hilariously meta spin on its own mechanics/game RPG mechanics in general.
On GBC! In 2000!
Like, not even limited to Yu-Gi-Oh. Just of all time.
*And* the base gameplay is essentially Pokemon on automatic nuzlocke mode. Like...?! 10/10
Where was this effort in the early Duel Monsters' games, whose lunch was eaten by the Pokemon TCG Gameboy game?
I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters last night and I was not prepared for the first boss being Mokuba literally narrating you through a tabletop RPG, complete with story context and on-screen dice rolls for monster encounters every 10 steps.
This might be the peak manga-based game
"Only AI use em dashes."
Tell that to anyone who's ever done an MFA.
The problem isn't em-dashesโit's this specific chintzy marketing cadence.
No exchange has ever more perfectly encapsulated and belittled the pathetic male fantasy of being willing to heroically "do anything" to defend kith and kin so long as the "anything" pertains exclusively to vanities of violence and sacrifices visited on others rather than on self
This might actually be my favorite response to a stupid post of all time
Notably, Matt Walsh, dedicated person-saver, declined to answer
Writing again is so fun!
Finishes a short story
Lives in hell for weeks flipping single sentences back and forth; a single verb choice will determine everyone loves or hates me
Can you imagine if the party had its shit together on this message? It might even risk doing some public good
People are rightly pointing out that this should be higher, but this is the kind if rhetoric that cuts through. You can't complain about 2 cents on the dollar at ultra-wealthy tax brackets vs. everything that could pay for without looking like a huge baby, and that framing is essential.
This is good. I don't know why Democrats as a party aren't running explainers exactly like this 24/7.
Here's an extremely good, succinct write-up that I came across on why this sucks so bad. Couldn't find the author on Bluesky to tag

For me, this sends a clear message that I want no part in associating with--we don't care about fostering an artistic community or the ethics of the work if it isn't prose. So why should I trust you to shepherd that either?
I literally can't comprehend what is going through these teams' heads, especially when they (basically always) explicitly cite a no-AI policy for writing. Integrity for my medium but not not for thy medium. Prose is real, visuals are...okay as a stolen commodity?
An extremely frustrating and exhausting part of submitting fiction in 2026 that I did not expect at all was weeding out venues that are otherwise mission fits for use of AI images. Using stock photos or just leaving stories unadorned are better options.
Damn, dude. If you're not a fan of it, just don't use it.
Have written two short horror pieces I'm happy with in the past month. One is out in submissions and the other is waiting for a specific market to open back up...
Has felt really good to be back working on my own writing and feel like I've wound up with satisfying/complete pieces again.
Millennial here and it's also obvious, and, yes, wholly damages the credibility of whatever is connected to the imagery in my eyes
Companies have to understand what an anathema it's going to be in terms of perceived value. You might as well have used MS Paint
Hi! I don't think Toho has a bsky so I'll post it - my first commissioned work for all the official Godzilla channels and I handmade everything that isn't a toy. Enjoy xo
I just saw the phrase "wincing smile," and I cannot recommend it enough for ่ฆ็ฌ
Anyway, here's the story. It kicks ass; basicallly flawless. Has lived in my head for a decade

I know people are down on using chatbots as Google, and I don't like it either, but it doesn't acknowledge how bad Google has gotten. I was searching for an online horror story I'd read years ago and it turns out dead on with keywords and it couldn't find it. ChatGPT got it in one. Grim
In which Lexi and I talk about Transformers to talk about nuclear weapons, justifications for war crimes, and the power of fiction as paradigm (featuring Gandalf quotes and Optimus Prime)/trial run for moral issues (from 11:24 to 35:37)

Oh yeah, btw, this requires you to be in for full shifts on weekdays so this can't even be your side gig.
...is identical regardless of whether you're handed a starting script or not. Which, unless you're working with seriously technical jargon (when starter pick-ups can be handy, but that's old CAT tech), really isn't saving any time over a fresh script/may actually hinder it.
As I've said before, I'm not opposed to interface improvements, as there's always been lots of streamlining to be done for manga TL setup and file handling; that's good tech use. I am opposed to it ever justifying reduced pay for translation or visual elements when the knowledge and work required...
This deserves to be garbage output, and they should be stuck with whatever their raw software puts out when they aren't trying to offer professionals garbage pay to hide it.
