Adopt A Station - Rescue Public Media Help preserve independent journalism and community programming across America by adopting a public media station. Congress has voted to rescind public media's funding.

So: donate to your station, but if you’re able to do so, also donate to a station that previously depended on CPB funding for an outsize part of their budget. This site makes it easy:

Yr. NPRiest happens to live in a major metro area with robust support for public media; our stations (radio and TV) will probably be okay. Not so for a lot of rural stations, where their presence is arguably *more* important.

Nothing funny to say about this, I don’t think.

So many great things ended with the tag line “…with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting” throughout yr. NPRiest’s life—from well before I had any sense what that meant.
