Is it that ecobee is less evil or are there tech reasons why ecobee is less vulnerable to this sort Logan's Run for tech based business plan? Need to replace my Nest and would not give a cent to google over this now.

Just an administrative stay until briefing on the appeal--I think. Not bad necessarily--though a TRO or preliminary stay next week would be bad.
