How I grew up with it, being found first means you have to seek next turn, I guess as sort of a punishment? I’ve always found seeking pretty funny, but the thrill of hiding can’t be beat. What are you planning on using this for?:-)

This sounds like a lovely experience 😄 Do you have any tips when it comes to timing the sessions? Often I find it difficult to keep children’s attention for longer periods of time, so I’ve defaultet to a «we’ll play for a while and take a break when it’s obvious that sitting still won’t cut it»

I fuckin love Jeremy Irons in this movie. He is so ham, it’s lovely. Apparently his kids convinced him to accept the role, as they loved D&D.

Working on your own brand, or in our case, @seidmanngames.bsky.social , is the opposite. Total creative control, quick turnaround, but have to do all ourselves.

With that being said, in general I find large brands have very strict guidelines, and it’s often tiresome and slow to initiate new ideas you might want to try out.

I’ve been very fortunate in my career so far, being able to work with big recognizable brands, who often operate with big budgets. Big budgets often mean more data, and more data results in greater insight in consumer behaviour.

Aaah I see, your steak is too juicy and lobster too buttery 😅

Honestly, just switching from “there’s a team for that” to “guess I’ll do it myself” has been the biggest adjustment. It’s fun, but very different.

Could you start your own group on its own though? 👀

I’ve worked in marketing for 10+ years, with brands like Discovery, HBO Max… It’s been such a blast going boots on the ground again with little to no budget, just trying to spread the word organically and genuinely. And it’s worked well so far!

Maybe I one day get to do this full time…?

Man, reading this make me both sad and angry. You were abused by someone you should have been able to trust, and then failed by people who had the power to help and chose not to.You deserve so much better than what was done to you snd what happened after. I hope things are gentler around you now…

Yess, it’s a Cy_borg campaign I’m running, where the world is slowly consumed by a virus causing blindness and subsequently rage. The players have the cure, and have to decide the fate of the world basically while huge megacorps try to track them down 😄

I thought he back tracked and apologised? Not that it automatically makes everything right again.

I’ve often ended sessions before our allotted time, if a moment like that occurred naturally during the final 30 minutes or so.

I almost always wanna close out on a big emotion if possible. If it’s a great joke that lands, a feeling of triumph or a solemn defeat… Anything that makes the last moment memorable and keep players psyched for the next session. That or a proper cliff hanger. Easier said than done 😅

A terrible consequence of the timeline we’re living in is that reality itself is so wack and crazy that april fools jokes pale in comparison. Anyone wanna share some cool jokes you’ve seen so far today?
