Eu gosto do video do Jake The Alright, explica bem a processo para inventar o design.
Tirando as texturas que eu peguei do Mielgo, eu diria que pra Marathon é só pensar em design Brutalista, e procurar funcionalidades para essas.

Os decals desse cara foram usados como placeholder durante os betas do jogo (ou seja, não no jogo final).
Ele foi compensado (como o mesmo disse no twitter) e está ele agora está nos créditos do jogo.

Situação ruim mas reagiram bem ao problema.

As inspirações foram metade do caminho, eu queria ter feito algo mais complexo como Marathon mas acabei deixando mais simples... Acho que vou fazer um mais complexo no futuro.
