Film that does what it says in the tin, lots of nostalgia and fun action made for the big screen.

That being said it needed the performances of the 3 main actors to stop it from falling flat on its face.

Final Score 3.5 out of 5

Can’t beat the original! ☺️

Cons
1. Lacks depth & emotion in areas which would cause the film major issues if it wasn’t for the flash backs & Hans Zimmer
2. The CGI space baboons are awful & the sharks just don’t make sense
3. Some cheesy acting
4. Paul’s speeches don’t hit the same as Russles did!

1. Denzel steels every scene!
2. Paul Mescal is also great!
3. Pedro Pascal is solid
3. Good story that carries on well from the original.
4. Great action & visuals, made for the big screen.
5. Nostalgia for the original Hans Zimmer soundtrack
