Yes. I’m actually rewatching DS9 with my partner (his first time watching) and we are also watching Starfleet Academy as it airs and I decided to not have him watch Episode 5 just yet because it would ruin the ending of DS9.

I honestly doubt that overall big box and national retailers had an increase in traffic or transactions if you paid attention to all the reports about the state of the economy, unemployment, and lack of affordability.

If tariffs/inflation drive Sales and ADS (Average Dollar Sale) up because things are more expensive it may initially look like more people purchased year over year while still having had a decrease in traffic/transactions.

Having worked in retail for over 25 years, I think is important to look all the metrics in the sales equation specially traffic in stores (most big retailers have traffic counters and focus on conversion) and/or transactions, as well as UPT (Units per Transaction).

I mean Kira is very capable.

I do believe that it has to do with them not being happy with who they are. They have not come to fully accept themselves. This is usually due to external forces such as religion, politics, very conservative families that have made them believe they can’t be who they really are so they lash out.
