The church has helped me to gain and maintain close friends.

Tomorrow, a colleague and I have the privilege of welcoming new teachers to our school. We get to spend the morning showing them around and introducing them to our school culture. I'm looking forward to meeting them and all that they're going to do to help us be a better school for our students!

Happy Pentecost Sunday!
I'm a Christian today because of the influence of strong women in my life. My mother, grandmother, and aunt all shaped my trust in the Lord more than any other person.
It didn't take long for our new Director of National Intelligence to start spouting Russian propaganda. What a shameful lie.
Many Christians are saying service to others should be meted out by individuals in community rather than by the government. How about both? Working to solve problems all together, not just individually, is part of our role as members of a democracy. 🎙️Holy Post 657
AP Government students learn about the concept of agency capture. They may have to introduce the concept of government capture in the future curriculum.
Eliminating USAID is not only morally dumb, it's strategically dumb. It is a primary instrument of American soft power, generating good will toward our country.
Composure, Saints! This is a vital witness to our faith in Christ in any era of chaos.
Upon waking, let us meet with Jesus and trade our fear & anger for his courage & compassion.
Rely on God.
Read Scripture.
Be brave.
Pray valiantly.
Act like grownups.
Help the hurting.
Love defiantly.
“For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.”

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.
Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
I love snow days! It's one of the perks of being a teacher. #education
We rewatched Solo tonight, and I still think it's one of the best #StarWars movies. The people on the Internet don't know what they're talking about.
President Carter was the best of us. His character, faith, and belief in what America could be will be sorely missed.
Beautiful reflection by my friend @peter-wehner.bsky.social in today’s @nytimes.com on what the genealogy of Jesus tells us about Christmas:

This looks great. I'm adding it to my list.
I don't like the idea.
In his annotated bibliography, one of my college students in my U.S. History course wrote, "It did not take me long to realize I knew very little, and what I knew was clouded in myth and legend." I consider this course a success! #education
They're genuinely interested in how tariffs work and the potential effects of reduced immigration. I'm optimistic for the future! I think my students are handling the difficult political conversations better than the adults.
champbailey’s in the 🏡 for #DENvsLV!
This has been a great school year so far, but I am thankful for a week long break for Thanksgiving. I'm ready to sleep!
