Re: the last post:

I have an aunt who’s cis, but changed her name in middle age. Literally my entire family ignored her requests, & just refers to her only as her birth name. Just bc she’s not trans (to my knowledge) doesn’t mean you can refer to someone as their old name.

Part of the reason I made a TOS is because I’ve never had one, and I was encouraged to make one to protect my rights as an artist.

It’s not part of the TOS itself, but I clarified I will never deadname anyone (intentionally) if their deadname is listed on the order. Let me know if that’s an issue.

I just want to see more people irl legitimately admit they screwed up. I want them to feel guilt over hurting people. I want to see them fix the problems they caused. Not just this “sorry you were offended, sorry I got caught, I’ll be sneakier next time” shit.

I know I’ve tried to do the thing where I show a lot of empathy & hope it rubs off on others, but I don’t know if it has. I don’t think pleading “think of other ppl & how your actions make them feel” is a thing these ppl actually listen to or are affected by.

[tw: vent] I admit sometimes I get a little grumpy thinking about redemption arcs in fiction, bc it only ever seems to happen in fiction. I don’t know many, if any, ppl irl who do something super terrible & actually feel bad about it. They usually just double down & surround themselves w/ yes-men.

I love that Alien, Furry, & Muppet are three distinct things in Chat's mind, although I think of them as Venn diagrams.

Gonzo is in the overlap between Alien & Muppet, since one of the movies confirmed he's an alien (Gonzo might go by they, based on one illustration, I'm not sure).
