Amazon to pay $2.5 billion to settle FTC allegations it duped customers into enrolling in Prime Amazon has reached a historic $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission which said the online giant tricked customers into signing up for its Prime memberships, and made it difficult to cancel after they did so.

Amazon will pay $2.5 billion after the FTC found it tricked millions into Prime and made canceling nearly impossible. The scheme, internally dubbed “Iliad,” shows corporate power exploiting consumers for profit.

In response, @PressSec (Karoline Leavitt) defends ICE agents, calling them heroic men and women doing their jobs to keep Americans safe, and urges Democrats to stop demonizing them. The post includes a graphic with the text "I STAND WITH ICE" and the Department of Homeland Security logo.

This regime with its masked agents terrorizing whole communities is the problem, not “Democrats.”
