It feels (to me) like the use of “nutrition” and “hydration” for what you eat / drink during a race is to make it sound more…official? Important? In a gatekeeping kind of way. There’s nothing *nutritious* about any of it. You’re mainlining sugar b/c it is the best option under the circumstances. 😂
It’s broken because it is meant to benefit publishers, rather than authors, reviewers, or readers. Why put unpaid hours upon hours into review? You’re a world expert in your field and your time literally has a monetary value. AI written papers and review will increase until the system collapses.
This is why we ALWAYS download the primary literature if we’re going to cite it, kids. Don’t trust that some jabroni cited it correctly.

The AI bots will harass each other online until the venture capitalists realize there is no money to be made. And then it will all crash.
