I just recently learned that the Sega CD ADV "Urusei Yatsura: Dear My Friend" received a fan-made port to PC via Adventure Game Studio a few years ago which includes a near-complete English translation! archive.org/details/urus...

Being able to pop up the "Reaction Voice" at any time to reply to people is fun & even tho it doesn't do anything yet my shenanigans with it make me feel immersed in a unique way. I wonder what this is gonna be for... 🤔

Death Road of Despair is one of the most brilliant ties to narrative I've experienced in a game. You get 2 tries to escape but the controls feel floaty & the stage weaponizes platformer staples. It's designed to make you fail & despair tho it's hypothetically possible.

"L.E.N.F." was a fan site made in 1998 by Kenichi Ushijima dedicated to PC-98 title "Love Escalator": web.archive.org/web/20010419...

Taki Minashika, the game's director, supplied the site with several pieces of original art & drew the cover to the admin's LE doujins, "LENF1" & "LENF2".

Unfortunately I can't help but think about Toy Story every time I see this game's logo...

Yeah! Lovers is actually a remake of this game!

Today is the 28th anniversary of "Love Escalator" for PC-98! Developed by Umitsuki Production, this romance ADV was considered the last major title for the platform & released to high acclaim/sales even under those circumstances. The game's visuals & animations are incredible!
