#Turians in #MassEffect are my favourite alien race, and I'm absolutely loving all these anatomy headcanons for them! (Also, go follow milkywayes, they're an amazing artist)

A bust of a woman orientated sideways so it appears she is coming through the wall. Her skin and hair are a deep lapis lazuli blue. Her hair, thick and long and straight, flows freely toward the ground; fanning out like hair freshly shampooed and dried (author's note: read - like my hair. It's great the first 24 hours after a shower, then it's like, "that's enough of that!" End author's note.)

The background is dominated by a pale yellow wall, with stiff flax, their greens turning into browns, crisscrossing over it.

(Bonus additional author's note: just noticed she doesn't have an ear. Now I can't unsee it. You're welcome. End author's note. End alt text.)

All amazing #puzzlegames I've played and all highly recommend! For all of them, especially #OuterWilds and #BluePrince don't look up/read/watch anything. Go in blind. You'll thank me later ::)

Extreme close up on the face of a bronze statue of a woman, eyes closed, face relaxed as though in deep slumber. The tepid yellow glow of a late autumn sunrise brushes the right side of her face and her hair, turning the latter a bronze blonde.

Extreme close up on the face of a bronze statue of a woman, eyes closed, face relaxed as though in deep slumber. The tepid yellow glow of a late autumn sunrise brushes the right side of her face and her hair, turning the latter a bronze blonde.

A bronze statue of a woman in a long dress with a square neck and thick skirts, lit up in a light yellow sunrise. She holds a long sword against her thigh, tentative fingers holding on to its blade. Her other hand balances an oblong object on a pedestal on her thigh, only her index finger and thumb holding on to it.
The background is dominated by a stout column of stone held together by white paste; on it is thrown a shadow of the statue as seen from a different angle: the sun creates a shadow that turns this youthful young woman into an older woman, tired and weary from decades of life.
(Author note: I'm someone who often purged older photos with impunity as I improved. So it says something that this is one of those that survived 12 years of purges.)

Close up of a statue of a woman, head and shoulders visible, discoloured green by the ages, the copper weathered away to a lichen green by a century of oxygen exposure (and possibly acid attacks.) Despite the damage to her exterior, the statue's face maintains a kind of calm, looking off to the side, just above and to the left of the viewer. Behind her, green leaves - already showing the tell-tale colours of autumn in a leaf here and another there - dominate the expanse of the winter-blue sky with nary a cloud in sight.

a group of people sitting in a room with a canadian flag and an american flag hanging from the ceiling Alt: A gif showing the four Artemis II astronauts holding hands in the centre, the Canadian and American flags above them.

Oh boy, now I'm probably gonna just end up doing space games on Twitch for a while lol XD (Didn't stream today because Artemis II splashdown had every last one of my braincells' attention. All of them.)

To quote the end of #MassEffect3 's Citadel DLC, in light of the successful #splashdown of #ArtemisII :
"It's been a great ride."
"...the best."
Thank you for this historic moment, I'm glad to have caught this with so many millions around the globe.

About 70 minutes now until the Orion module separates from the European-built service module that's been pushing it around the Earth-Moon system for the last week. Good view of Australia's morning right now...

A seagull with black wings and a white body stands resolute and strong on a dark-coloured rock (likely volcanic), as spray from the ocean behind it crashes up behind it.

Despite being under the weather the last couple days with a horrible headache and fatigue, a select few braincells still came together anyway to start forging an idea for my birthday stream next month 🥳🎂It's inspired by... Very Special Events that happened this month. Can you guess? 🌏🚀🌝

AMEN to all of this. As someone with a BA and a BSc/MSc, I truly absolutely believe in the marriage of arts and science. They've always been intertwined, and creativity and science go hand in hand. #STEM #Arts

Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon\u2019s bottom right edge is Saturn. Day 054, orbit 0839 – In microgravity, things aren’t pulled downward like on Earth… Hair that naturally detaches doesn’t fall. 🧐 It stays with the rest of your hair (...) I brush my hair twice a day & I have never in my life collected so much hair on a brush”, explains ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot.

Whoa 🤯

The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...

I think #OuterWilds fans would collectively lose it if #NASA played the Timber Hearth music as #ArtemisII splashes back down to Earth in a few days on the homeward journey.

Looking through one of the four windows of the Orion spacecraft, a tiny crescent Earth is illuminated against the blackness of space and grows smaller as the crew journeys closer to the Moon. Part of the window edge is visible; the rest is darkness. [Alt-text slightly revised from ESA/NASA version]

As you can see, I've been super excited and following the #ArtemisII posts on my feed (and elsewhere)! 😍 I'm really curious to hear how people old enough to remember the 1969 #MoonLanding feel seeing this historical moment so many decades later. Feel free to reply/reblog because am curious!
