Yeah, that side of the family doesn’t like me or my siblings that much. I had to call it out. I asked him what’s her name, what tribe was she from, did she find happiness, what did she love? He didn’t know and honestly didn’t care. He doesn’t deserve to claim her as family.
I have never understood it! My uncle was telling us that we have Native American (he used the other term) in our line, because a dude traded for a wife. I asked him “you’re proud of that? To be the product of a forced marriage and rape?” “It was a different time then!” “Yea, still disgusting.”
