Few weeks go by without me thinking of this Highhouse article on our “stubborn reliance” on intuition in hiring: doi.org/10.1111/j.17...

It’s a powerful reminder of the gap between what works (structure, standardization) and what we often rely on—subjective feelings of “fit.”

I have no idea why Prince William is sitting down with a rapist and convicted felon. I don’t give a single shit he’s a working Royal. When men sit down with rapists and smile for cameras you’re normalising rape.

I’ll largely be posting here on skills based approaches, OD and coaching…with a dash of tech and AI. I may dip my toe into L&D occasionally. For the last five years my work has been on large transformations, not much at all in the L&D realms

Skill-Based Strategies Skill-Based Strategies

Where do I start? Too much focus on the skills taxonomy and tech, with change as an afterthought. I’ve been working in this space for nearly 5 years. It’s akin to digital transformation in legacy organisations. I’ve spoken on some podcasts - you can see them here: www.consulther.co.uk/our-services
