DoxyPEP can prevent STIs but its effectiveness against gonorrhoea depends on the level of doxycycline/tetracycline resistance. Our new review from 51 countries and 80645 isolates found doxyPEP would be unlikely effective globally to prevent gonorrhoea infections.
