Mechs can’t actually do garrison or security duty by them selves. You need infantry to do it right. Even in places with marginal atmospheres.

Mostly mercs are mostly mechs. They draw in additional infantry as needed. Easy if they’re on garrison duty. Hansons Rough Riders has had over two regiments of infantry some times. I always assumed there were temporary forces.

Well not a permanent formation, most house units have infantry and armour attached. So a mech lance with a conventional attachment would be possible.

Official 6mm #Battletech infantry. Some PBI* for mech bases. Say what you want, PBI make up the bulk of IS armies.

I’m pleased with the result, but I’d still take a human artist any day. A pro can nail the specific ranks, unit symbols, and an actual Hatchetman in the background instead of a random mech. Even if AI is used to speed things up, that human touch makes all the difference.

Not a fan of Piker (I find him irritating and often wrong). But he’s hardly “far left.” Sit down with an actual socialist and you’ll get what I mean.

Working on the Wasp and Phenix Hawk. I really do like this box set. I will use every miniature in this box at some point. 👍

Physical media helps. I don't use the cars so much but I do use print outs. Which Jeff's page does. You can also customise the Mechs. I like adding name and rank. Also you can select the units speciality / perks. Print out + plastic page protector and you're golden.

You can play with it via a phone or tablet via the browser.

Jeff regretfully passed. But he made a great page for #Battletech that others have been keeping updated. Great tool for AS.
