Using AI for something purely functional (eg. Code, data analysis, etc) does not bother me if handled correctly, however using AI for creative works is absolutely disgusting as most people seem to agree with.

Id say im in a gray zone where AI is both really exciting and super scary at the same time

I get your concern as a creative making cool ass art of course, to me as both a programmer and creative the gap between using AI for code and using AI for user content couldnt be bigger.

The claude code statement doesnt worry me as Jay seems to align with me on this.

I don’t personally use any cuz im not this deep with AI tools, I mainly just keep up with them cuz its interesting to me.
But I’ve seen benchmarks showing claude code is actually a really bad harness, even for claude.

I’ve seen plenty of praise for Codex or other more minimal open source harnesses.

I don’t see the issue here? AI for code is fine as long as you are weary of code quality.
There is literally no problem as long as AI stays away from the human content posted.

Worst part about this is that they’re using claude code over an actual competent harness. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hope i can actually get some gamedev done this week, i have been consumed by the Satisfactory mindvirus again.

Listen going to bed at 5:30am is totally fine if it means i can produce rotors 3x faster

I made a game in 10 days together with @itspolycube.bsky.social & @abycore.bsky.social for the Bigmode gamejam.

In KONSTRUKT you make your way around by hitting stuff with a katana. It's pretty slick if you ask me.

A google doc with game ideas reading:
A rhythm gambling game
I haven’t thought this one through that hard but “Rhythm + gambling” is just too funny not to write down.
I'm imagining you have a slot machine that ups your winning odds depending on how accurate you stop each symbol to the beat. It could probably even be a whole game of different rhythm based casino games.

Man… I need to write a will and decide who will inherit these amazing game ideas if I die.

Can’t afford to let these industry leading concepts get lost forever

Every time it gets reuploaded somewhere it gets recompressed, so its bound to lose quality

Making new palettes isn't as easy as it looks! This was one of the most finicky palettes to come up with, here's a timelapse of my progress.
