Update, it's something in the scene itself. I made a fresh project + scene and it bakes just fine now. No idea what caused it to break but at least I can transfer stuff to the new one!
Thanks so much for all the help, and sorry for the headache too

I went through and progressively deleted more and more of the meshes but no, I think this project may have a problem. I'll try on a completely fresh one based on some of this scene and see if that works any better
And now probes can't be read.
...I have no idea why it's happening lol. I used to render this scene no problem before
I'm currently using the 581.29 driver. The folder itself is indeed not version controlled and there's over 40 spare gigs on this drive.
(I also tried on another one which has about a 1tb spare)
I removed the LMGroup which then raised issues with all other LM groups that I also removed.
They DO in fact behave fine! so it's likely scene specific then... interesting

Okay, looks like I may be pinning to pre 590, because we DO actually get results on detecting optimal settings.
...Buuuut we're not out of the woods just yet because now while rendering, it throws an error, "Can't read texture E:/Bake\LMGroup_Terrain_final_RNM0.lz4"
oh, didn't finish uploading, but the same lines were present
yep, unfortunately. I'll try going down to 581 and see if that still works
Unfortunately, same issue as before
So in my case the ones that are being run come from C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispsi.inf_amd64_fe1c50c690e00e9a
I've deleted them and am doing a clean install of the driver now.
No WSL in use for Unity here, I did do a clean reinstall of the driver to the same issue. I'll try the process monitor utility and report back
Ah... unfortunate
So I don't see anything out of the ordinary, but I may try spinning the project up on Linux instead of Windows. I wonder if something's up generally with my windows/unity install.
I'll report back when I've done that
Awesome thanks for pushing the question forward to them!
I'll run a check through and see if I can find anything that's meddling with memory.

Sure thing, here we are:
So we're on 1.98 and I re-applied the patch via the instructions in the link provided just now.
When attempting to run Bakery > Utilities > Detect Optimal Settings...
Thanks for the response! When I attempt to do that on the 595 drivers I get an error saying both RTX and non RTX lightmappers failed to run.
I tried twice, the first time I tried patching using the asset store, but had the same issues. After that, I tried using the built in updater
Any ideas of what I should be doing to remedy?
I've tried removing Bakery and re-installing it via the asset store, I've reinstalled GPU drivers, scoured forums but no avail to fix this.
Heya @guycalledfrank.bsky.social, sorry to come out asking for support but I'm trying to figure out an issue. I updated Bakery to 1.98 and I'm running a 3080 (v 595.79) in Unity 2022.3.6f1
But whenever I try to Render, I get the same "Failed to load OptiX library" and "Unsupported ABI version"

That wasn't the only preview I had by the way...I'm still making a few tweaks on it and getting some more work done for it, but I'm excited with how far it's come since the beginning.

I did mention some other covers! I'm several years late but this one's personal.
Well, that’s one idea finished!

Lost Ship coming along quite well. Gonna render a couple other previews of some other tracks...there's a lot more to share~

I'm here to disrupt the finance synthesizer scene.
Here's a little preview of a little somethin something in the works...
It's time for some FTL once again
