Three winning bookmark designs for Love Your Library Month
Finishing up Love Your Library month at the High Meadows School Library. Students made sticky note shout-outs, shelf-talkers, and 6th and 7th graders entered their designs into a bookmark competition. So much book love โค๏ธ
Would love to know more about your student author section. Do the books stay in the library? I have eager authors in my library ready to share their books.
Would love to! Been sidetracked by the exciting snow in Georgia but would be happy to share.
Shout out to our #HighMeadowsSchool 5th/6th graders who won the #GeorgiaIndependentSchoolAssociation Battle of the Books in our first year competing! All I did was provide the books and cheer for them, but Ms. Reingold made sure they were still able to compete on a snow day today.

Having so much fun with my 4th/5th graders in the library with @adobeexpress.adobe.com They created engaging Dewey bookmarks to promote personal interests in the library. Each student got their bookmark in a sleeve & spent way too much time choosing a tassel. Cutting out 100s for library patrons...
That sounds fun. Now I just have to do the work!
Love this so much! For years, kindergarten checked out almost zero nonfiction. Put the books in bins a few years ago and nonfiction is 30% of what they checkout. Can't wait to try a Silbert Smackdown and adding nonfic to my March Book Madness brackets. Thanks!
