Black women have been fired from the federal work force since Elon Musk’s rampage more than any other group. They comprise 6% of the overall U.S. labor force & 12% of the federal labor force. But of the almost 300,000 federal jobs slashed in 2025, Black women were a stunning 33%of those cuts.
Democracy fails when the majority fails to elect representatives who care. This is why "social democracy" or "democratic socialism" is needed: to qualify political leadership. Because resources are neither infinite nor evenly distributed by nature, "we the people" require generous care in politics.

What you have to understand is that Carbon Capture and Storage is driven not by environmental concerns but by fossil fuel industry demands. It provides both a new revenue stream (at our expense) and the mother of all greenwashing schemes. Whether it works or not (it doesn't) is entirely irrelevant.
