Could Spotify please give us the Spotify DJ feature but without the dumb AI voice and also stronger controls over what we ask for?
I ask it for "songs without words, because I'm working" and it'll play 8-10 songs like that and then "switch it up" and start playing lyrics.

Sure hoping we have our own Vasily Arkhipov.
Given that the place where the term originated doesn’t use the term, but a country that doesn’t _really_ care about it (comparatively) insists on using the name that even that country doesn’t… its a sport of contradictions
What are you going to study????
Given the number of people that believe we’ve never been to the moon, launching this mission on April 1st was _a choice_.
Before playing tonight, a band asked the crowd “do you have ftee will??”
i shouted “no” because I felt like he really wanted us to say “yes”
Except, you know, not "punched", historically speaking.

Everytime I hear about corporate executives being dicks, or when I think about how my P&L provider warns us about rates being high in a tone that suggests they aren't high because their execs are extracting big ol' bonuses, I am reminded of this quote:
gen AI voices imitating regional dialects irks me in a deeply unsettling way. I will nope out of a video / audio stream as soon as I hear those dumb voices
wait what

“That's not just speed, that's freedom!”
these are all from a generated piece that I 100% know is generated because I generated it for this illustration.
I asked the model to “Convince me to buy a sports car”
Another example: “A car like this wasn't made to sit still. It was made to be pushed, to be felt.”
Ive seen this rhetorical pattern appear enough in gen AI that I think its indicative:
<subject> <negating statement>, <subject> <contrary affirmative statement>
eg.
“This isn't just a car; it's a statement.”
Its most noticeable in bodies of text exceeding a couple paragraphs.
Every now and then I think about how we all often rely on cloud-based hardware (eg your phone) to tell us what time this is. Historically this would have been driven by an NTP server somewhere, but what if there was some effort to tweak the perception of time for “productivity” reasons?
In the string section of the orchestra, every morning some of them wake up and choose violins.
its maybe a little less surreal reading those two posts, but when it was explained to me, there was a lot of recurrence of multiples if 6, and 6N+1
just weird! like why that?
(also wild that half the babies die every time)
Reported for identity theft, because “impersonating” requires it be “of an account” not “a real person”
LAME.
I mean congrats on being a person someone else would want to impersonate, I guess, but still, lame
is this a coincidence or an impostor?
if youre someone that falls into numerology holes, do not read up on opossum lore.

The thing is: the goal isn't to end in a proposal (no decent therapist would sign on for that). If contestants wanted to trade contact info at the end of the show, they can, speed dating style.
Rather, the show's focus is on the journey, the unpacking, the revelation.
16 Contestants, 16 Therapists.
1. Contestants go on pod dates in the evenings
2. In the mornings they meet with their therapist and talk about the dates, and the therapist is able to see the full recording of all of their dates, so they can be really focused on things
3. Repeat, daily
