At the same time, we can explore our past mistakes, our shortcomings…”
As a historian, you might appreciate this one somebody sent me from LA.

The movement keeps growing. Show up and make it 12million on March 28th.

This is utterly jaw-dropping.
A school that bans Atwood, Zadie Smith, Terry effing Pratchett and *literal George Orwell* is actively harming its pupils.

Hi all. Adopt a rent was alerted to 2 needs that are back rents for February & March and we do not have donors currently.
One is A who was detained by ICE from December to February and thus lost his work permit & job. He owes just over $3000 for back rent including march.
Can you chip in or share?

This is the best & most important thing I've ever written.

This makes me incandescently angry. A refugee from genocide, a vulnerable, nearly blind man in an unfamiliar country, just treated like trash.
Everyone involved in this needs to go to jail.

The SAVE Act absolutely will disenfranchise women.
More than a few on the right want women to lose the vote entirely.

I note that the White House originally said it was the White House Historical Association that preserved items from the East Wing. Now it says the General Service Administration and the National Park Service did. Did they? Did anyone?
Jesse Jackson adapted his “I am Somebody” speech many times, never more memorably than this moving 1971 Sesame Street appearance. RIP. youtu.be/iTB1h18bHlY
Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, the Chicago-based Baptist minister, political figure and two-time presidential candidate whose soaring oratory and knack for capturing media attention made him a central figure in the Civil Rights Movement and national politics for more than six decades, has died.
He was 84.
