Socialist Majority believes in a majoritarian movement for democratic socialism: we work together toward a bigger and unified DSA.
We support the updated NYC-DSA dues page and applaud our SC members for voting to ensure there is only one standard of membership: national dues.

Rafael J (DSA-LA) says: “We need an NPC that understands the power of organizing and collective action. As a labor organizer with UAW, Clayton has been working tirelessly to build worker power and take on USC, one of LA’s most ruthlessly anti-union employers. Vote for Clayton!”
Today we want to introduce everyone to Clayton R for NPC, a militant labor organizer and elected leader on DSA-LA’s Steering Committee. As an organizer with UAW Region 6, he’s helped postdocs form organizing committees, through contract campaigns, and prepare for strike votes.
One thing is clear: @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and @socialists.nyc have made history! Thousands of working-class people have stood up to the capitalist class to demand a more affordable and livable New York City. Win or lose, the fight is just beginning! Join DSA today: dsausa.org/join
Trump's travel ban is not about safety. It's about racism and xenophobia. As the daughter of Haitian immigrants and the Chair of the Task Force on New Americans, I know the terrible pain these policies cause. We must fight back. ✊🏾
Nou la. Nou pa pe. 🇭🇹
i honestly was a bit surprised that it is as salient as economic issues but heartened to hear how many people it's touched. if you're a DSA chapter that hasn't gotten a policy like this passed locally yet, happy to explain how to get started over DM! it's very urgently needed, and a winning issue
going through canvasser notes this afternoon for @jorgedefendini.bsky.social 's campaign and one of the most common policy notes is people being grateful for the protections for gender affirming care Jorge introduced in 2023! ithacavoice.org/2023/09/itha...
Congratulations @katiehonan.bsky.social on writing the best piece of predictive science fiction of all time
Another huge ruling! The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals just DENIED the government's motion for a stay in the trans military ban case.
The government CANNOT enforce it's ban on transgender people in the military still.
BIG day for pro-transgender rulings.
more like Switch 2 a new government !! voters.....

The authoritarian turn promised in Project 2025 is here. ICE targets dissidents while the billionaire-run "DOGE" guts the federal government.
Working people are mobilizing, but as Sam L argues in The Agitator, DSA's NPC is failing to meet the moment.

I'm extremely disappointed with the democratic establishment not meeting the moment, but I'm also extremely disappointed with the socialist left not meeting this moment.
IMO, we should be the "Democratic Tea Party," not sitting on bluesky calling for someone else to do it.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.
Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.
Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
getting very close to petitioning season 📋🌹
Amazing article.
"More recently, researchers have found that the viral outrage disseminated on social media ... actually reduces the effectiveness of collective action. The result is a media environment that keeps us in a state of ..fear and anger... instead of organizing against [our oppressors]."
i'll be blunt, if you are someone who is vocal about the ways that diversity efforts "divide the working class" but silent about the ways that *actual racism and discrimination* divide the working class, then i think you're just an opportunist
Martin shares: I'm very excited to be a part of the farm worker group that just signed the first UFW contract in NYs history at Cahoon Apple Farm!
This means job security, safer and better working conditions. It's a good feeling and we're very excited.

Historic victory for the UFW: Our FIRST ever union contract in New York State!
It is the first of many to come. ¡Sí Se Puede!

i’m going to propose that ithaca DSA’s next priority campaign is to force a referendum to flouridate the water
Community is the antidote to despair.
Happy to host! 🌹
My campaign logo. It says “Daniel Atonna for Poughkeepsie Ward 8” with a drawing of a red rose.
A photo of me outside in the Poughkeepsie Ward 8.
My name is Daniel Atonna. I'm running for City of Poughkeepsie Common Council in Ward 8, where I live and grew up. I'm a union member and community organizer who will always put Poughkeepsie over profit 🌹 I'll be in the Democratic primary on June 24. danielforpk.com
i think this is a subplot of pixar’s ‘cars’

Last night, I was given the honor of being sworn in as Ithaca’s Acting Mayor.
Thank you to Mayor @rgc.bsky.social for giving me this opportunity. I’m truly excited to be working alongside of you!
And thank you to family, friends, and community for the continuous support
I’m freezing… your rent as the next mayor of New York City.
Let’s plunge into the details.
So the City of Miami was under a federal consent decree for 20 years that forbade them from criminalizing homelessness
guess what happened during that time
In last year’s budget, I fought hard to ban insulin copays for all New Yorkers with a state regulated health plan and won!
Starting January 1st New York will be the first state in the nation to do so. This is my message to insurers: people over profits.
