I’m definitely getting there. We’re privileged to have another bathroom but the shower in there is rubbish. And it’s kind of stress having paper as half the kitchen ceiling.

15 days of the bathroom leaking through the kitchen ceiling.
I have the impression my patience is evaporating.
So cute! Also love your jacket.
My daughter skates in leggings & a crop top often. She’s a true Geordie 😆
Yes 😆 it’s a sign I’m not a true ‘Geordie’
So true.
And no one wears coats (I do because I was born further south - I’m a ‘southern softie’ 😆)
It’s a running joke here (North East of England) that once it’s over 10°C all the men are in shorts.
Parenting the parents.
Yes mushrooms and halloumi. Very tasty despite not looking like an omelette at all 😆
Knowing we have similar Mum-types I’m surprised and relieved she is taking over.
Oh man that is a sharp shock but glad it’s working for you. I will admit to having ‘some’ anxiety about the weather getting warmer based off the last 2 summers.
But yeah my plates are really cute at least.
Visual representation of this week.
Made baked macaroni cheese for the grls, thx to kitchen/ceiling-gate I have only 2 pans, not enough to make separate gluten free pasta for me so I’m having an omelette, using some of the only foods that weren’t contaminated with plaster and black mould.
Work was much less stressful and I feel like I’m settling after the incident a few weeks ago. Sadly my heart rate does not agree and spent the hour before dangerously high even though I wasn’t anxious and was mostly sitting.
What exciting new aspect of #chroniclife is this?
That’s great news.
Ooooh apart from the black mould one. That’s new. I do like a good cleaning product.
It is amazing for dirt but as far as I know limited harm killing capacity.
My choice. Bleach is the only thing that kills basically everything but specifically black mould and water dwelling viruses. Gloves on windows open.
I’m kind of enjoying the sighing and grumbling. He doesn’t clean much so it definitely won’t harm him.
Yeah. Fuelling my quiet rage is that I pointed out the leak to my husband 3 months before this damage, he ignored it because his Dad said it was ‘fine’, until water came through the ceiling into the kitchen.
Me & the girls have had dominos for dinner while he bleaches everything.
Masks, gloves, clothes I don’t mind going in the bin.
Currently paper is covering the hole and we’ll be bleaching the entire kitchen shortly.
Leak from the bathroom, which was fixed a week ago, husband Dad decided to take the damaged bit down with no warning and no preparation while i was out this morning. And just kept going!
Yessss. I can take the girls and stay at my son’s place, but we have so much to do tomorrow that we need to be home for.
I’m feeling quite anxious about all the mould, damp and dust being on immune suppression if I’m honest.
Turns out therapy was a few hours early.
Because I came back from therapy and coffee with friends and my husband and his Dad had done this to my kitchen.
This is my view
Hmmm work was heavy. I’m off tomorrow and meeting friends for coffee then watching X-files with my daughter. Things to look forward to.
I hope tomorrow is better for you. And a LOT less painful.
Urgh.
111 sucks.
Emergency departments suck.
I’m sorry.
Home from work and brought a ton of sad with me. Soaked it away with a candlelit book in the bath.
