due to macroeconomic headwinds, banksy is now known as money under the mattressy
Posts by Clifton is tired of all of it
A Senor Sisig burrito with tofu inside. It is wrapped snuggly in aluminum foil and has a sticker on the side with "Tofu Senor" written on it in a sharpie marker so the servers know what type of burrito is inside.

Yeah, that doesn't flow the way I wished it did
Until maybe last year, I had no idea what to do when I landed on someone's GitHub page. Turns out you have to click the Code dropdown that doesn't really look like a dropdown, then select Download.
Why is there no obvious Download button? Because it's made by engineers who don't understand people.
Oh hey, my game Flipside Diner is finally available on iOS and Android. It's a puzzly action cooking game!
Store links in thread. 🧵
I've had engineers, stakeholders and product owners tell me "Nobody would make that mistake" or "Why would anyone do that?" I've been told that everyone knows what an API is. I couldn't really tell you what an API is.
We need to figure out who our users are if we're to understand what they need.
A while ago, I helped 75-year-old friend open a new email account. She couldn't afford anything but the one that came free with her host, and that email service bombarded her with popup after popup. Walkthroughs, tips, new features, "How would you rate us?" etc.
She's your normal user, not me.
For a couple weeks, I've been teaching a friend DaVinci Resolve. He's in the 3rd year of his finance degree, does everything with a laptop, typical student.
He kept asking me how to undo, and would have to look for the Ctrl key.
This is what normal is. This is who we need testing our products.
The first time I went to one that sold by weight, I thought it was a little clever, kinda unique, almost cute. Little did I know that in the next three months, EVERYONE would be doing it that way. I feel like I should have found a way to somehow stop that first location so it wouldn't spread.
Screenshots from Spaceballs where they're realizing the big trunk they'd been carrying through the desert had that giant hair dryer inside. I've slapped an image of the Riven game box over the hair dryer. Lonestar's saying "What's this?"
Lonestar: "I said take only what you need to survive!"
Princess Vespa: "That is an original, unopened copy of Riven."
Vespa: "AND I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!"
I was given something yesterday that I really shouldn't accepted. I'm trying to get rid of all this stuff I don't need so I can move in a few months.
But sometimes the universe makes you an offer you can't refuse. I'll find room for it.
I always hated store-bought macaroni salad, and as a kid, it felt like that was The Food of My People. Every goddamn outing, every party, every picnic, every 4th of July barbecue.
Tiktok-style transitions give me a freaking headache, and they only seem to be getting more popular. I love a clean, well-timed cut.

I only read this third post before the others, and I thought someone was taking short kings to a new extreme
As you all know myself and 33 others were fired from Rockstar Games in what we believe was a ruthless and illegal act of Union Busting. We're fighting this tooth and nail. If you are able, please consider donating to our fighting fund so we can hold them to account!! 🌱✊

My dream is to write for a reboot of the game. I've already got a narrative treatment and some of the dialogue written up.
Ah, the in-game keyboard that made me realize your character is actually much smaller than we all assumed?
Yeah, we can arrange a chat any time you're free! If it helps, Oni is my go-to game for responsive, intuitive KBM controls with a lot of moves using a small number of buttons.
Oh wow, I get this one! I'm right in that tiny tiny sliver of a Venn diagram that overlaps teenagers in the '90s living with siblings who'd buy anything with cover art that looks military or destructive enough.
If you ever want to chat about keyboard controls, I'm more than happy to give a whole bunch of feedback sometime!

You know what, I think those advertising agencies had something else on their mind
Oh hey, just learned that if you search for an anonymous Reddit username, the kind that hides their posts and comments on their profile page, Google's AI will happily tell you which subs they're most active in.
I mean *I* just learned that. I'm sure the TSA's known about it for a while.
A photo taken in my apartment, showing the large window and beautiful trees right outside that almost reach the building. We're on the second floor, which is perfectly canopy-height.
The same window and trees in the autumn. No leaves, but there's a beautiful blue bird on the windowsill.
A close-up photo of one of the tree's branches in the winter, covered in a crystal layer of ice, with tiny little flower buds trying to emerge
The trees in the winter, covered in snow
My favorite tree is the one that's been right outside my window for the past 15 years. I'm moving out in a few months, so I just got to see the last batch of leaves I'll ever get to watch appear on its branches. This is the sight I'll miss the most in all of Portland.
Yeah, it looks like a lot of almost-certain conclusions when I searched, which at least says there are plenty of actual studies on the subject. The one you shared looks like the most legit we could ask for.
Anyway, no kids for me, but I've always been the least family-oriented in my family.
I could easily turn to Google for this, but is the pheromone thing real? Sounds like the thing they said about cats a while back, and that turned out to be fake.
@belgianboolean.bsky.social YOOOOO
I love when job requirements say something like "You utilize AI where it's relevant" because I ALWAYS use AI where it's relevant
Also I've never used AI
