Also I love that this new season and rendition of #NailedIt includes lessons for the bakers to learn about techniques but also improving upon them. It’s really wonderful to see their journey throughout the season.

Jacques Torres is honest in his critique but he is also still really encouraging and positive in his feedback. But he also has a sense of humor. Overall, it feels everyone is having fun.

I love that #NailedIt baking competition show doesn’t feel mean spirited. There’s a lot of jokes that does make fun of their mistakes, but it feels the bakers are in on the joke and can laugh at themselves. A lot of it has to do with Nicole Byers’ humor.

It was good for me to watch Talk to Me first. Both films show people who are dealing with the grief of their loved ones. Talk to Me is much darker (and violent), but Haunted Mansion, given it’s a family film, had the hope and happy ending that ended my weekend on a high note.

Surprisingly enjoyed Haunted Mansion. I thought it was so much fun. Definitely a bit scary for a family film (it’s rated PG-13 for a reason), but also quite grounded in the story about grief too.
