In games without Lizotte in the lineup, the Penguins allowed 4.48 goals per game. That's not a typo. Lizotte's penalty killing and ferocity in the defensive zone have been missed.

The problem with the NHL's explanation is that nowhere in the rulebook does it mention anything about the position of the puck when it comes to goalie interference. Also the way Elliotte framed it suggests the NHL was trying to interpret intent when it comes to Barron/Karlsson, which is impossible.
