5 cross stitch bookmarks, from left to right - the Doors of Durin (with lots of blues and greens and 4 little crystal tentacles at the bottom of the bookmark), a Hobbit hole house with a tree set behind the mound (with primarily greens and yellows), the Eye of Sauron with little figures hiking in front of it and a volcano erupting behind it (mostly reds and greys and some blues) , Gandalf next to a tree with big brown roots and pink flowers on the ground as he’s walking down a pathway leading to a little hobbit hole in the distance higher up on the bookmark (which has mostly greens everywhere with some brown and a little pink for the flowers and grey for gandolf) , and the final bookmark is Bilbo in Smaug’s hoard of gold inside his lair (consisting of lots of yellows and oranges and some blacks with a close up of Smaug’s eye and scales and then the gold everywhere at the bottom of the bookmark and Bilbo standing on top of the gold staring back at Smaug). Overall took me a few weeks to stitch, backstitch, wash, and felt the backs!

A simplistic bookmark designed with 2 crossstitch eastern bluebirds sitting on some brown branches with green leaves and yellow flowers, as well as little orange [buds maybe? Honestly not really sure what they are but they are pretty] sticking off the branches too. The edges of the white aida cloth are fringed. The entire bookmark is sitting on top of the paper pattern I used to blueprint the design out while stitching it. Entirety bookmark took 3 days of on and off stitching in total but I started it months ago and only just now got back around to finishing it. This completion marks the end of my 4 seasons bookmark collection I’ve been stitching for my mother. I’ll definitely be doing this design again atleast once to give myself a set and I already know of a few friends that really liked the designs so….

4th & final seasonal bird bookmark is complete! So glad to fully finish off this set of bookmarks. I started these in the background of my tiger xstitch last year and have slowly been working through them. Feels like such a breath of fresh air to finish them and know I can start something new!

My completed tiger cross stitch (plus embroidered whiskers on top) on a black counter with the bottom right corner of the piece up against the sample frames (from Michael’s frame team department who helped me pick them out) of the final design decision - a purple border of a quarter inch showing area into a light grey border with about another quarter showing, tiny bit more, then a blue border colour with a lot more space to end the colour borders and pull the eye into the tigers face. Then sitting on top of the colour samples are the two frames I chose, a white plain half inch wooden frame and then a golden half inch frame stacked on the outer edge of the white one to give the final touch, match the golds of the tiger, and the design of the gold frame reminds me of an old cage’s bamboo like wood which I think fits the piece perfectly. Now I just wait for the project to be completed by Michael’s and for the phone call to go pick it up!!! I can’t wait 😁🤍

This is what I chose for the framing design (Michaels) so now it’s just waiting until the framing team gives it back to me 😁 I can’t wait to see how it looks fully finished!! #cross-stitch #xstich #craftsky #Finished #frame #art #tiger

The edges feature colourful paint style drips in the cross stitching that brings the whole image together and ends with a grey and white border.

Just realized I never posted the finished photo of it!! Ended it exactly one year later down to the same week 😁 so proud of myself to pushing through this baby so fast - it looks almost 3D!! He’s a beauty and I can’t wait to see my mom’s reaction when I give her this in September 😁🥰 #cross-stitch
