I was fortunate to attend a @womenwinning.bsky.social event some time ago. I left it KNOWING that I could run for office. Ten years later, I am proud to carry forward their endorsement as the MN State Rep in 62B.

The beginning of the 2026 MN legislative session has been busy and productive. I was happy to join this week with my old union, AFSCME to talk about the importance of protecting Civil Legal Aid for workers and residents in my district and across the state.

Today we gaveled in the 94th MN Legislature. I am proud to represent southside MPLS, and look forward to making real wins for 62B. Speaker Hortman's desk will remain a memorial throughout, a reminder of her leadership to bring care and civility to all our work at the capitol.

ICE has murdered a resident in, and from, my district. I am angry, sad, and without words save these: ICE MUST GO. LEAVE MPLS. This cruel and inefficient federal immigration action is only sowing terror, sadness, and bloodshed. Please bring calm to this tragic moment.

I’m excited to endorse Dan. He genuinely cares about creating parks and programs that everyone in Minneapolis can use and enjoy.

Tell me why the rally with @peggyflanagan.bsky.social and @warren.senate.gov felt like a concert?? Everyone was energized and excited to send Peggy to DC to fight for ALL of us, not just the wealthy few.

Children's MN Hospital is asking that anyone who is able please use their Saint Paul emergency room rather than the Minneapolis room so they can focus on this tragedy.

We've lost two children with many more injured. I'm heartbroken that they would be targeted in their place of worship - what should be a safe space for all.

I am praying for their families and fully committed to taking meaningful action to stop this rampant gun violence.

National Night Out was such a good time. Good people, good food and great conversations. We’re a community that cares about each other and that love came through in every story shared.

Let’s use this moment to remember George Floyd, mourn his loss, and recommit ourselves to the work that will make our public safety system function for everyone. There is so much left to do—let’s do it together. Rest in Power, George.

They seek to divide us, and distract us from our mission towards real justice. Today, I reject these falsehoods and renew our calls for a public safety system that treats every resident with dignity, compassion, and equality under the law.

George Floyd’s killing unified Americans in condemning injustice. The narrative is being rewritten. Conservative commentators play up Floyd’s criminal history and present the officers as victims of politicized justice.

As I reflect on both this moment, one which brought MPD practice into the light on a national and global stage, I am disgusted to see the way that conservative media and politicians continue to distort this tragic event for their own political aims.

It has now been five years since George Floyd was murdered in front of a crowd of bystanders on Minneapolis’ Chicago Avenue, by an MPD officer who was entrusted with protecting our community. 🧵
