We celebrated the reopening of Burnt Ash Library, #Plaistow in style today. A ribbon cutting ceremony by Mayor of #Bromley, an author reading, children's activities & a buffet for residents keen to see new bookshelves, seating, computers & garden
Tks to officers and Library staff for their hard work

An enjoyable day at the annual #Bromley Labour Conference yesterday. A day to showcase the difference Labour councillors make in the borough. With workshops led by councillors & me as organiser.
Thank you to MPs @cliveefford.bsky.social and @liamconlon.bsky.social who came to speak and answer Q&As.

Vulnerable residents told to go elsewhere.
Last night I attended the RR&Housing meeting where #Bromley Conservatives, sitting in the shiny new state of the art Civic Centre, voted to cancel the £250k pa which helped some residents with essential fridges, cookers & beds.

A busy Saturday in #Plaistow #Bromley checking and reporting fly-tipping and trip hazards on @fixmystreet.bsky.social and a lovely visit to St Mary's Church Christmas Fair which was held in the attractive church itself. Mince pies and mulled apple juice a delightful finish to the afternoon!🎄

I had a cold but enjoyable couple of hours out yesterday with a #Bromley Environment officer talking recycling, waste and fly-tipping in #Plaistow. Good to see the brand new truck in action at our Sundridge recycling centre.

#Bromley's Environment Committee were given 🛑 no info on "no parking fees" lease w adjacent sports club
🛑 no mention of Controlled Parking Zone to protect local residents

It's no wonder 5,746 residents petitioned against
