loose and floaty, engulfed in the sounds of nature. rippled with existentialism, mommy issues, sexual awakening, ego and self-discovery— nothing really actually happens, and yet I felt it all.
🎞️ Janet Planet (Annie Baker)
phenomenal movie that I genuinely think anybody could love. that's not to say that it doesn't depict heavy themes, but that it presents them almost endearingly conventional. a movie I respect a ton and should have seen far sooner~
🎞️ The Shawshank Redemption (Frank Darabont)
she looks fucking unreal here it hurts
Always getting called out ;-; can't a linguist have strong sound opinions 😔

they opened big fat quiz of the year with an AI segment.... come on...
atom. bomb.
Vince Gilligan going for the hat trick in making the most compelling television out there. This one goes for less bombastic spectacle for a slower burn focusing on more intimate moments that are way more my jam.
A very beautiful film that depicts the many different ways grief can manifest in neurodivergent people and how it validates it even when it's not palatable to many people around them.
mommy(s)
no
missing her something chronic 💔
this is further proof that cher is just an icon of icons tbqh. shockingly, this is the first movie I've seen of hers and I was entranced. LOVE.
🎞️ Moonstruck (Norman Jewison)
I'm still reeling over the other day icl 🥹
I genuinely loved this and that was a huge surprise for me. it's one of those cases where black comedy is done well imo, maintains the satire and has self-awareness about it. Surprisingly full of heart as well. Might be my favourite Christmas movie now(?) Had a blast.
🎞️Bad Santa (Terry Zwigoff)
the rarest of occurrences. I DONT GET IT!!!!!!
this is beautiful
oh ur readin this shit
giggling over this. you were SO pissed
Every Carol and Zosia scene in the latest Pluribus episode is amazing because it's fun trying to decide how much of Carol's responses and inquiries is her playing 5d chess for humanity vs just experiencing the gayest sexual tension for lonely self
I do enjoy her experimental, abstract stuff most of the time, but my favourite parts of this album are her orchestral numbers, FOR SURE.
Standouts:
- Hyper-Ballad
- Possibly Maybe
- Isobel
- You've Been Flirting Again
