I’ve set the top task number to just one. I don’t get to see what my second task is. It turns out I become curious and complete the first task just to see what the next task might be!
It’s been exceptionally difficult. You try to present your best, and ideally money-spending, self. That’s all they are after in the end, isn’t? The chat might be going well, you manage to set the date and then… they never show up!

My pocket calculator was a tool. It never lied to me.
When I overloaded it by attempting tasks for which it was not calibrated, the answer was 'E' for 'error'.
It didn't hallucinate or lie to me, insisting it was correct.

It seems have more of a team focus, but the core idea is very similar. Compare tasks, then focus on what’s on top.

The sky is often overcast in Dublin. I used to check the forecast manually each evening and it was fun for the first few weeks. I bit the bullet and automated something that otherwise would have been a subscription.

Your task pool belongs outside your head.
Your brain's working memory holds 3–5 items. A task pool with 30 items doesn't fit. Instead it overflows, creating anxiety and rumination.
Maybe r/productivity should be renamed to r/undiagnosedADHD. The number of people that come there asking “how do I start being productive?” while describing undiagnosed adult symptoms around task initiation is staggering.

I talked to a #DublinBus driver. Apparently they don’t receive directions on how to deal with the time change. Some decide to follow their schedule as if the time change didn’t happen. “I was scheduled to leave at 3am but the time jumped so I’m just going to leave at 4am”. That’s mad!

The feature set for Android will be slightly different than on iOS. The native Google Tasks app doesn't seem to have the "Today" or "Tomorrow" views so that's what I'll build next, creating a minimal workflow.

Open testing can only start after two weeks of closed testing with a minimum number of users, so if you're interested in open testing only, it'll need to wait.

A #prioritization engine is not for the “buy milk” stuff. It’s powerful, use it for the big stuff. Do you have 7 hobby projects competing with 3 starved administrative issues, while your dream endeavor is hasn’t seen an update for the last two months? Put those things in and watch what happens.
Minimal Android version of Task Compass is functional. Next up, work my way through the Google app review so that I can start closed testing.
This means that Task Compass for Android won't be a clone. Besides pairwise prioritization, it will be an implementation of workflows that Tasks is missing by default.
Looking at Google Tasks, in comparison with Apple Reminders, there's no inbuilt "Today" view, and no flags, no hashtags, no smart lists. Of course you can build all of that, but only as a third party app.
When I’m looking for new music, I’m encountering #AIgenerated mediocrity with such a frequency, that I’m implementing a new policy: I want to see the band actually playing together, fingers moving together with what I’m hearing. No video, I’m going to assume the band is AI.

The Google Tasks support for Task Compass isn't trivial. The client library is online only, and I want Task Compass to work offline too. I didn't find a local caching library. So I'm dealing with issues like "what if the user creates a task locally to a list that is simultaneously deleted upstream?"
30% of planned study sessions were procrastinated. The biggest predictor wasn't difficulty, it was ambiguity. When you don't know how to start, you don't start. Clarity is an underrated productivity tool.
