I don’t have to wonder, Jack. I already know I’m stubborn and think I can do everything 😹

I’ve been replacing all the wood mulch around my house with black river stones. So far about 45 bags weighing 30lbs each and my body is starting to yell “look her Susan, we’re 50 now and we can’t be doing all this nonsense” at me.. My names not Susan so I don’t listen and I’m only half done 😹😹😹

I went out to tend my garden like it was a love language, whispering encouragement to stubborn blooms, chasing sunlight between leaves. I even set up my little shade, determined to protect my lily-white skin

still… the sun found me

Now I’m warm in all the wrong ways, glowing, regretful red 🦞

I only know this, if magic ever took root in the earth, it would bloom exactly like them.

They never tell you the part of getting old where you start losing people you love. In my selfish ways I want people to be with me always but, such as life.
In the past couple years I’ve lost my niece, sister, brother, grandma, aunt, uncle, dad, mom and now my other grandma.
