Trump: "As everyone knows, I am an extraordinarily brilliant person ...."
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Huh. I seem to remember somewhere that presidents have been granted immunity from prosecution for official acts.
Republicans don’t want people to see this video before the midterms:
Multiple clips of Donald Trump promising half price electricity bills within one year. Have your energy bills gone down 50%?
And I also wish he'd had a plan to end Russia's invasion of Ukraine, because he said he would do that, too. In fact, given a choice between his ending the war in Ukraine and his lowering electricity prices, I've have chosen ending the war.
But he didn't have a plan to back up that promise, either.
You know, if he'd said, "And here's my plan for accomplishing that that ...," at least he could now say, "Well, I couldn't enact my announced plan because ...."
But he didn't say that.
Because he didn't have a plan.
He never does.
A federal judge called the Trump administration’s hiding donors to its ballroom project a “Rube Goldberg contraption” that allowed the president to avoid congressional oversight. Here's a free link to the WaPo article about the secrecy surrounding the contributors.
I'm all for freedom for Puerto Rico, if that's what its people prefer.

Well, FAIRNESS is the reason, but I agree it should be done. And, as others here have said, Puerto Rico, as well.
Absolutely agree with Truscott's assessment here. As I said elsewgere on this site: I wonder if anyone in the Trump administration (besides Trump, of course) still believes the president's Iran "strategy" is working.
BTW, I know it's easier for AI to capture stills than it is for it to do live action, but whatever system the Iran government is using really captured Jared Kushner (seen sitting against the wall over the president's right shoulder, close to the beginning of the video).
I wonder if anyone in the Trump administration (besides Trump, of course) still believes the president's Iran "strategy" is working.
Ow.
The Trump nominees who gave a direct answer to the question “Who won the 2020 presidential election” would be very small in number.
Agreed. This explains all the times he's won in Iran. I mean, it's got to be two or three times this week, alone.
Dershowitz is "becoming" a Republican. These are the jokes, folks.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for THAT to happen.
What is he even TALKING about? He was fooled? He fell victim to a con man? He sees now what he didn't see before? Please, spare me!
I helped Trump ruin the country, but it wasn't intentional.
I am such a sucker for these shelter stories, and for the “abandoned animal restored to health” videos on YouTube.
@nytimes.com Come on folks, do better! Seriously, this is important context for any reporting on Kusher’s role as a “diplomat” or “negotiator.”
“Numerous Atlantic pieces over the past two years have characterized Director Patel as unqualified, dangerous, corrupt, or mentally unstable.”
No arguments here.
Are you kidding me? You're expecting us to believe a study from a country that has tax-funded free healthcare, tuition-free education, subsidized daycare, paid parental leaves, and generous unemployment/disability benefits? Nuts to that!
🙄
Scenes of Oval Office staff scrambling to teach Trump to read ....
Oh, I do.
I remember the Good Old Days, when Google's motto was "Don't Be Evil."
Yeah, if AI is so smart, we should allow it to evolve on its own.
Yeah, I think we're raising men incorrectly.
Also, with regard to his assertion that "President Trump is trying to end division in this country," it's a crime to lie in testimony to Congress, and that's a boldfaced lie.
Love this. The best moment is when he says that we are meeting the obligation to ensure that all women survive childbirth, and she says, as plainly as possible, "We are not."
