Thrilled to be helping with this effort in Wisconsin

Tuesday when he has a chance to look at the news Mike Johnson is gonna so surprised
I was thinking the same thing (although I have no connection to Ohio)…. The joke may be that everything gets celebrated with beer in Wisconsin, regardless of where the beer may be from
Few things are more pleasing than hearing a variety of languages being spoken organically in my community - give me more neighbors who speak a different language please!!
I would rather live next door to someone who speaks another language than live next door to someone who doesn’t want to live near people who speak other languages. I know nothing about Person A but I know person B is a shitbird.
The interesting logical outcome of this for me is that now the major press agencies can ONLY report based on leaked/unofficial information, which is precisely what the Pentagon was trying to prevent 🤷♂️
Two extraordinary UW–Madison professors — nuclear security specialist Sébastien Philippe and atmospheric scientist Ángel F. Adames Corraliza — have been named 2025 MacArthur "genius grant" fellows by @macfound.org.
Congratulations and On, Wisconsin!
Congratulations to Assistant Professor Sébastien Philippe for being selected as a 2025 MacArthur Foundation Fellow. His contributions and creativity are only just beginning and we’re excited to have him as a colleague in NEEP.

Did you tell students that you’d be issuing your take home final on BlueSky?!? Will they be submitting their responses here, too?
It was great to share my thoughts and expertise with the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Jobs and Economy today, who were discussing two bills offering support for nuclear energy in our state. Here is my testimony to the committee. (Link to video will come soon)
In case you are interested - tune in live to watch the hearing at the WI legislature on nuclear energy
Reminds me of the time I made an input file template for modeling a fuel assembly with a variable “ass_gap” to give to students
I do this too - but I have a grading rubric for the concepts I want to see and it really shows who understands vs who is just scanning for formulae to do homework
I didn’t see “wrong answers only” in the instructions??
TFW you find your WI self in NYC when the Brewers are in town for opening day at Yankee stadium (and don’t care)
It is taking all my concentration to not lay hands on the computer driving this workshop that has not maximized the Zoom screen for the remote presentations....
Looks like the Steelers?
I know it’s not the point, but I literally thought that Noah & Putnam were making hot dish while conducting the interview until I scrolled to the photos 🤣
Maybe monoatomic graphite? Or monoatomic coal?
Monoatomic graphite? Monoatomic coal?
“A Trump administration plan would end the independence of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where similar oversight muzzling has led to nuclear disasters overseas”
Profs. Huff, Corradini and I shared our concerns with @sciam.bsky.social about a dangerous Executive Order from last month

Might also need to improve delivery time of bags at many airports… folks aren’t used to waiting for their bags anymore
