It’s super cool, you could probably give it a great “melting” texture by having the sphere disapear from top to bottom, and maybe jot sphere but “half pill” shape :-)

Yep, also a general system isn’t always the best. In many cases a general system makes it hard to change it and understand all side effects. It can easily end up having function like updateOld() updateNew() etc
Did you ever try Live++ ? It’s even more magical :-)

Super inspiring to see what @miketuritzin.bsky.social has been working on (sdf based game engine, check it out). We have been using triangles to represent 3d data since the beginning of 3d graphics, yet most our model are round. Other formats (bezier triangle, sdf) seems super interesting.
Yep, makes sense. I think like every new stuff in the game the initial balancing wasn't perfect and will ofc be iterated so hopefully the emz situation gets resolved ^^

Long time ago I made biome generator in ocaml (procedurally generating tree, mushroom, bush placement bases on heightmap) but that was done as part of the asset baking, not at runtime
Same with Rust ^^ but yeah, hard to argue for ocaml usage in non critical software (like video games ^^)
Flatbuffer : I now use it for serializing (local save and networking)
Haxe : fav scripting language that let me run code on client and server
Diligent Graphics : my default vulkan / metal abstraction layer
Yep, I played around with it, it's a nice thing for younger game Devs. Will likely use it one day with my kids :-)
I'm going on year 3 with a fairphone 5, I believe I can do another 2 at least ... But yeah I'm with you. I wish I could keep the same device for 60-100 years, maybe give it to my grant kids one day :-) like in the movies, grant parent giving their watch or whatnot.

Although the name sounds a bit limiting, but it could be just the name. In flash you could do quite a lot of different kinds of experience as long as they didn't require realistic graphics.

I was the first to doubt ML and I still do. That being said humanity has always made invention to free their time : fast movement, more food conservation, faster cooking, heating, washing etc. ML is the first step of what will help with laundering, folding cloth, tidy house, etc.

Well not that kind of disability :-) but often game environments and UI are designed for colour blind people from the get go: making sure that playable area and non interactive area are as easy to distinguish for normal player than colour blind ones.
J'ai tenté de reconnecter avec la politique française mais j'avoue que les voir tous se tirer dans les pattes, de gauche, de droite, les extrême aussi, ça me fait trop penser a la politique aux USA. C'est vraiment descendu bas le niveau. Zéro unité, zéro feeling de "on est dans le même bateau". 😭
