incredible day for low effort slop. Bluesky breaking down plus a new ever crisis chapter!
Yeah and iirc people were not happy about the quality of the statue
like i get it, 2017 was smack in the dark ages of the version/retailer-exclusive DLC craze. it's hard to find a AAA game maker that *didn't* try to cash in on it. but at least they didn't do this lmao
aside from this one hiccup, Capcom is the king of preserving access to pre-order bonuses and DLC content. you can min/max every single-player Resident Evil game to this day, even the PS3 and 3DS ones. they're the polar opposite of Square Enix, who continue to pull exclusive DLC bullshit to this day
okay here's something cool. the Japanese pre-order bonus codes for Resident Evil 7 still work 9 years later despite "expiring" in 2018. problem is there was another preorder DLC that was digital-only and can't be redeemed by code. who can I curry favor with to get Capcom/Sony to add it to my account
Sephiroth posting should be not saying anything for the second half of the argument
my single biggest regret in life as a gamer is failing to get the pre order dlc for RE7. if I had tremendous wealth and influence the first thing I would do is ask Capcom to add it to the PS store. then I'd solve world hunger or something
posted March 31 gotta be true
windows 11 are you really that strapped for space lol
Yeah this new one has SFX bugs. Earlier ports had various BGM bugs. a lot of the FMV tracks in all modern ports cut short, but at least the bugs where tracks reset after battles or fail to play for certain scenes have been patched
Possibly the fmv. I doubt they know how to fix the audio bug. And I don't expect them to remove the bilinear filter since it's in the console versions
Nope they are brand new. I think maybe the GOG version doesn't have the FMV stuttering, but I know it has the audio bug (can't rapidly play short wav files, which ffvii does a lot)
No, they were never present. The bilinear filter was introduced starting with the 2015 PS4 port. The other issues are exclusive to this rerelease
It was to have parity with the other modern ports on consoles. Namely, the boosters for 3x speed, no battles, etc
No, it didn't have any of them
sorry Freudian slip
It's funny because you click confirm on this scream, and then you go to the credits sequence, and then you go to the actual start screen which has this same graphic again lol
I didn't really have the time to comment on the release a month ago, but I think the new score accurately reflects SE's struggle to be good stewards of legendary games. This is obviously exacerbated by the fact that shadow-dropped rereleases get in the way of people trying to do that work for them.
It's now been over a month since FFVII's 2026 Steam rerelease. The new listing has a 57 rating, while the previous one had a 93. It still suffers from audio bugs, FMV stuttering, and bad bilinear filtering. You have to wonder if the move was financially and reputationally worth it for SE.
I snuck around the other way and took her out from behind

This is a direct attack on democracy and blatant disregard for your right to privacy. No means no.
