Trying out this month's TrueRef challenge! Because of the skull I had to draw my character Sister in Arms Basia, a warrior priestess of Incendis who also is Keeper of the Skulls within the order, which means she personally cares for the skull of an ancestor and guards their catacombs. #TrueRefDT012

Yeah, it's tough for people to imagine a better world when they're living in survival mode, trying to avoid toxic positivity, and struggling for ways to actually make an impact. So a lot of people are supplementing with escapism instead, which may not be a lot better.
I'm actually making a SciFi Solarpunk comic right now! 😃 Many Solarpunks are actually pro urban & super into vertical farming so as to consolidate people and return as much land as possible to nature. But, there is need for both if we could find a positive balance, so I plan to explore these ideas.

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
Translates to "She of the Jade Skirt", so I call her that since no matter how hard I tried I could not get my tongue to pronounce her name 😅 She's the goddess I featured on the cover of my coloring book.
