Our latest BrainPod episode features Dr. Brian Trainor, whose lab has been exploring oxytocin for the past decade 🎙️
@achrisman.bsky.social and I had a fun time on Brainpod www.nature.com/npp/podcast talking about Audrey's new paper looking at distinct populations of oxytocin neurons in the PVN with AJ Robison, Andrew Eagle and Chiho Sugimoto www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Federal Appeals judge affirms prohibition of arbitrary cuts of research infrastructure rates (i.e., the IDC rate slash announcement of early Feb. 2025).
As the ruling explains, NIH's X/Twitter statements contributed to the federal government's loss in court (!!)

Yet another reason to call your rep to support discharge petition to impeach RFK, I called this morning and staffer said I was not the only one. It's not just the research and vaccines, it's pure hypocrisy
Our rep is a supporter of science but also very senior, I've already gotten a mailing for someone running in the primary so it's not a foregone conclusion he will go through unchallenged.
I called today and the staffer said that others have called too....
I called my Congressional rep's office this morning to tell him to support the discharge petition to impeach RFK Jr being organized by @standupforscience.bsky.social , the staffer told me I was not the only person to have called about this, find your rep's number here www.house.gov/representati...
If we only knew….
Hey, I recognize that amazing scientist! @valentina-cs.bsky.social @briantrainor.bsky.social
We are grieving our friend and brilliant colleague Natalia Duque-Wilckens. A creative scientist, artist, caring mentor, and force for change. Words can’t describe the impact she had on lives at UC Davis, MSU, NC State and beyond. I feel lucky to have known her and wish her time didn’t end so soon
That is amazing Crystal....sometimes it's good to be lucky ☘️

Congratulations to Rebekah Rashford and team, it’s finally out! We tagged early life stress-activated neurons in VTA and found that chromatin those cells was much more open, even into adulthood, and that open CREs predicted greater gene expression in response to stress later in life
