Revealed: certified low-methane U.S. LNG likely more polluting than claimed - Gas Outlook Certified low-methane U.S. LNG that is touted as meeting new EU law is likely more polluting than claimed, our investigation shows.

“I’ve been hearing that the industry can solve the methane problem since the early 2000s,” she [@txsharon.bsky.social] said. “But it hasn’t happened, and methane keeps climbing higher and higher. The only way methane levels will come down is to stop permitting new wells.”

We have all that info and reported them a few months back. The State Land Office is not he only regulatory agency that really responds and they did. I included the after pic of the tank battery cleanup efforts.

New Mexico snuck in a little bill called SB 136 on Friday. Known as the Unlawful Use Of Unmanned Aircraft bill. Humans can’t see methane, but we can see oil. The industry and the politicians they’ve bought don’t even want you to see that.

Jeff Bezos just destroyed the climate reporting at one of the biggest papers in the country. Makes you think he doesn't really care about addressing climate change, right?

So what is he getting for his massive donations to many large climate related NGOs?

He knows. Do you?

Equipment issue led to excessive LNG Canada flaring, docs reveal | The Narwhal LNG Canada delayed reporting ‘integrity issue’ to regulators and never fully informed the public, while locals raised concerns about noise, smoke and emissions

"Just a few kilometres away from the nearest residential neighbourhood, LNG Canada had been feeding gas into its flaring system by a magnitude of more than 15 times the typical amount to compensate for what was described as an 'integrity issue.'”

There definitely are integrity issues.

Community Coalition Calls for Air Monitoring and Transparency After Artesia Refinery Explosion “If industry pollutes it, the state must monitor it,” the coalition wrote in its letter. “No family should have to wonder if it’s safe for their children to breathe.”

Charlie has warned about issues at the Artesia refinery for years.

“The recent explosion underlines the risk communities bear when industry privatizes profits and socializes harm to the community.”

Microplastics drive plaque buildup in arteries of male mice, study suggests Exposure to tiny plastic particles that litter the environment may speed plaque buildup in the arteries of male mice, a condition that leads to heart disease, according to a new study.

More evidence for a link between microplastic exposure and heart disease. (An earlier human study found that microplastics in carotid artery plaque was correlated with elevated risk of stroke and heart attack.)

Graph showing atmospheric methane emissions increasing rapidly.

Graph showing atmospheric methane emissions increasing rapidly.

We know that reducing methane emissions is our best lever to slow global warming before 2050. The so-called climate "emergency brake" that we can pull if we choose.

Instead, we are stepping on the accelerator.
