“ ‘Are you content and free to be your own?’
I pause and then admit, ‘I’ve lost my way.’ “
- A Conversation with My Younger Self
“The time illusion takes a toll on those
Who dream of futures—just to then dispose.”
- Three Years Ago
“Demands to halt ignored; the beef won’t stop.
‘A chef can only cook,’ was his account.”
- I’ve Lost My Appetite
“The copper spark and shine are lost with time.
A green and dingy film—my mind the same.”
- A Penny? In This Economy?
“A scream so fierce it bleeds into the bone.
Then silence falls; it’s dark and I’m alone.”
-The Secrets of the Ocean Deep
I’ve written 5 sonnets recently:
The Undertow of Time

• A Penny? In This Economy?

Trying to resist the urge to post them whole before I submit them anywhere. For now, just this:
And the burden isn’t equal. Some civilians have far more protection, shelters, infrastructure, and powerful allies. Ordinary Iranians are left to survive bombs, dictatorship, and chaos at the same time.
Who has actually been liberated by this?
I don’t see this war in Iran helping ordinary people.
War brings death, trauma, displacement, and harsher repression. It doesn’t magically create freedom.

Close-up portrait of a person with dark curly hair, round glasses, and light facial hair, wearing a bright blue sweatshirt and a light blue heart-shaped earring. They tilt their head slightly toward the camera with a soft, thoughtful expression.
Smiling indoor selfie of a person with dark curly hair, round glasses, and light facial hair, wearing a bright blue sweatshirt and making a finger-heart gesture toward the camera.
Just thought I should post some recent pics of myself. 🤗
I regret to inform everyone that
my problems are not a personality flaw.
They are, tragically, a budget issue. 😅
Anyways, carry on. 😎👉👉
Maybe? I don’t know. I’ve never done it before. My art is different from furry/anime.
I dabble…😅
The algorithm keeps showing me furries and honestly?
I feel seen. ☺️
I’m a raccoon. I want to make a fursona reference sheet (tips welcome!).
I dream of a head or suit someday.
If you’re a friendly (especially chubby, affectionate, gay) furry
and like welcoming new folks—hi. Let’s be friends. 🦝✨
If you’re frustrated with politics but skipping primaries, those two things are connected.
If you haven’t made a voting plan yet, do that today.
Future You will be very grateful.

I try to journal, but I only do so about twice a year now.
I try to meditate, but I lose all motivation to do it in the morning like I plan.
However, I early-voted in the March 3 Democratic primary
and will sleep like a baby knowing I actually did something.
10/10. Would civic duty again! ☝️🤓🗳️☑️
If you’re tired of the current direction of the country
but skip the primaries…
that’s like complaining about the menu
after refusing to help choose the restaurant.
In March, we vote, we organize, and we repeat in November. #FDT
Apologies to the world for behavior we will fix ourselves
An American in Milan apologizes to the world
New rule for dating in America:
Before things get serious, we talk about:
• voting rights
• bodily autonomy
• protecting minorities
If that kills the vibe,
it was never going to last anyway.
Watching the Donald Trump era unfold
taught me something uncomfortable:
Democracy rarely collapses from one dramatic act.
It erodes when people decide some harm is “acceptable”
as long as it doesn’t hit them yet.
History is asking us if we’re paying attention. Are you paying attention?! #FDT
One of the most dangerous myths we tell ourselves is:
“We’d recognize it if it were happening.”
Germany didn’t wake up one day under Adolf Hitler.
It arrived through rallies, rhetoric, and gradual permission.
That’s the part people forget. Stop being permissive and stand up!
Step 1: Undermine trust in journalists.
Step 2: Frame critics as enemies of “the people.”
Step 3: Normalize cruelty as strength.
If this sounds familiar, that’s not an accident.
It’s a pattern. And it’s happening again.
Voted yesterday.
A Democrat just flipped a heavily Republican district in North Fort Worth, Texas.
Turns out turnout, organizing, and showing up still work.
🗳️💙
Weird how often people say
“This feels unprecedented”
about things that are actually… very precedented. 🙃
History doesn’t repeat itself loudly; it starts with people shrugging. 🤷♀️🤷🤷♂️
I try to pause when I feel irritated by someone’s behavior.
Sometimes it’s less about them
and more about a mirror I didn’t ask for.
Anyway. Back to self-reflection. Get it? Self-REFLECTION? 🪞😀
