Yes, that can certainly happen and it’s a pleasant surprise when it does. ‘Carrion Carya Amara’ is a very odd album and it might not ever make your Desert Island Discs list. 😄 But yeah, it’s one that almost certainly takes a few careful listens, in the right (or wrong?) frame of mind to make sense.

This is an interestingly varied selection. Thanks for including a track from ‘Carrion Carya Amara’. I’m glad you got something out of the album upon revisiting!

Yes, that part of the fever dream was dangerously convincing.
Thank you, and I look forward to catching up.
By the way, that dog and penguin video is as AI AF. No wonder the account is so scared of replies. 😉
The cover of ‘Mix-Up’ by Cabaret Voltaire.
Was there a ‘Mix-Up’?
I unexpectedly was given the chance to use a Buchla synth in 2015. I haven’t had the chance again since, but that’s surely an unrelated fact..? 😜
Today is the 89th anniversary of the birth of one of the most important creators of voltage-controlled synthesizers, Don Buchla (1937—2016).
Condolences to Andy Kershaw’s family. 66 is far too young.
It is rumoured that it was his voice that was sampled for ‘In Malawi’, a silly ditty by Carya Amara that was recorded in 1992, but I couldn’t possibly comment.

Are Waves plug-ins ever worth the hassle, one way or another?
“… before the 1970s Berlin School of electronic music, a style represented by artists such as Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream… an actual Berlin School of electronic music (or electrical music as it was then known in Germany) operated in the city and introduced electronic music performance to Europe.”

They’ve put the carrot on the stick now? I can’t keep up with the pace of innovation these days!

I presume that you were the one who finished and enjoyed it, rather than, say, your preternaturally intelligent pet dog?
The French edition of ‘City’ was given a more expressive title that rhymed nicely: ‘Demain les chiens’—‘Tomorrow the Dogs’!

We realise that any success in Mixcloud’s charts is less significant than, say, doing well in a seaside knobbly knees competition, but we are nevertheless pleased to see our most recent music shows finding more listeners (and vice versa)!

A friend shared this playlist migrator utility that seems to work well. You can migrate from platform to platform (like if you’re leaving Spotify, for example). Also converts text to playlist, which is fun.
